    4  Feb. 7- 11     Read Fairclough Chapters 5 and 6 Discuss semantic and grammatical relations and textual analysis issues.
    5. Feb. 14-18     Read Fairclough Chapters 7 and 8 Write a short analytical paper on the semantic relations between sentences, grammatical relations and how hegemony, equivalence and differences, appearance and reality are addressed in the text (You choose).
    6. Feb. 21-25     Read Fairclough Chapters 9 and 10 Discuss style and modality
    7. Feb. 28 - Mar.4     Read Fairclough Conclusion. Prepare for the mid-exam  

    Mid-term exam  March 3 in Round Rock

Write a long discourse analysis paper covering as many aspects as possible which are discussed in the book.
